Become our next Inventory Control Specialist in Houston, Texas, and take charge of our warehouse's inventory accuracy and integrity. This key role involves meticulous tracking, auditing, and reconciliation of all stock. You will be responsible for implementing and improving inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies, reduce waste, and optimize stock levels. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategies for enhanced inventory management within our logistics operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual with a strong understanding of warehouse systems and best practices in inventory control. This position is crucial for ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system data and physical stock.
- Implement and refine inventory control procedures.
- Manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO) to ensure product freshness and prevent obsolescence.
- Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status.
- Process inventory adjustments and transfers accurately.
- Ensure organized and accessible storage of all inventory items.
- Collaborate with operations and shipping teams to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Develop and present inventory reports to management.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS) and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting, up to 30 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
