Job Requirements

To be eligible to apply for ERCP privileges, the applicant must hold Core Gastroenterology privileges AND Clinical Experience (Initial):

Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited program in Gastroenterology that included training in ERCP of a minimum 200 procedures; and evidence of clinical experience through documented performance of a minimum of 25 ERCP procedures (including at least 10 sphincterotomies and 5 stent placement procedures) during the past 12 months.

Clinical Experience (Reappointment): Current demonstrated competence and experience, reflective of the scope of privileges requested, for the past 24 months based on results of ongoing professional practice evaluation and clinical outcomes Diagnostic Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) Therapeutic

  • ERCP with Spyglass choledochoscopy
  • Lithotripsy
  • Papillectomy (ampullectomy)
  • Sphincter of Oddi Dilation
  • Spincterotomy
  • Stone Removal

Non-Core Privileges - Therapeutic Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)Cholangioscopy

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Must have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with gastroenterology.
  • Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (“DEA”) registration;
  • Be board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital;
  • Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution
  • Doctorate MD or DO required
  • DR-Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in Colorado required

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
