As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials within the warehouse to support our production and logistics needs. This includes operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to transport raw materials, components, and finished goods. Accurate and efficient material handling is crucial for maintaining workflow, preventing damage, and ensuring Safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations, a proven track record of safe equipment operation, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move, sort, and store materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Prepare materials for shipment or production.
- Ensure all materials are handled and stored according to company procedures and Safety guidelines.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize material flow and logistics.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification preferred.
- Ability to perform significant Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Thorough knowledge of material handling equipment and warehouse Safety practices.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
