Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to shipping manifests.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and damage.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, LTL) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain an organized shipping area and ensure all outgoing shipments are staged correctly.
- Communicate with internal departments to resolve any shipping discrepancies or issues.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and shrink wrap machines safely.
- Ensure compliance with all domestic and international shipping regulations.
- Maintain records of shipments and update tracking information in the system.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role is required.
- Proficiency in shipping software and common carrier platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and order fulfillment.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 40 lbs occasionally.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and the importance of wearing proper PPE.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer proficiency.
