Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is essential for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurate, well-packaged, and processed efficiently. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, verifying order contents, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring compliance with all shipping regulations. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and verify shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
  • Accurately pick and pack orders according to shipping manifests.
  • Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and damage.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, LTL) to schedule pickups and track shipments.
  • Maintain an organized shipping area and ensure all outgoing shipments are staged correctly.
  • Communicate with internal departments to resolve any shipping discrepancies or issues.
  • Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and shrink wrap machines safely.
  • Ensure compliance with all domestic and international shipping regulations.
  • Maintain records of shipments and update tracking information in the system.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role is required.
  • Proficiency in shipping software and common carrier platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and order fulfillment.
  • Ability to perform lifting up to 40 lbs occasionally.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety standards and the importance of wearing proper PPE.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
