Join our fast-paced logistics team as an Order Picker in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking items to fulfill customer orders. Your precision and speed are critical to our supply chain's success, ensuring that orders are prepared correctly and shipped on time. You will work with various warehouse equipment, including RF scanners, to locate and retrieve products from our inventory. Safety is a top priority in our warehouse; therefore, strict adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques, is mandatory. We are looking for motivated individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of performing physically demanding tasks. This position requires stamina and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify picked items against order requirements for accuracy.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting and PPE usage.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory to supervisors.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other hand-held equipment.
- Contribute to team goals for order fulfillment productivity.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse/logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Willingness to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Commitment to safety standards and the mandatory use of PPE.
