Seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This position is crucial for the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the movement, organization, and preparation of materials within the warehouse. This includes receiving goods, stocking inventory, fulfilling orders, and preparing shipments. A strong emphasis is placed on safety; all employees must strictly follow established safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of materials. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and stock incoming materials.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment safely.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through careful handling and tracking.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Adhere to all company safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Perform tasks requiring regular lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Assist with other warehouse and logistics tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including significant lifting and carrying.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
