We are looking for a diligent Order Picker to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in our supply chain, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve specific items from warehouse shelves and storage locations according to pick lists. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work at a steady pace. You will be expected to handle products with care to prevent damage and ensure order integrity. Maintaining a safe work environment is a top priority; therefore, adherence to all safety procedures and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This position is physically demanding and involves significant walking, reaching, and lifting throughout your shift. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order requirements.
- Use of scanning equipment to track inventory and order status.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform regular lifting of products up to 30 lbs.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors immediately.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable with frequent lifting and manual dexterity.
- Familiarity with basic inventory systems is beneficial.
- Understanding of safety procedures and willingness to use PPE.
