As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to move pallets, materials, and products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of the forklift and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring clear pathways.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock records.
- Follow all logistics procedures for material handling and storage.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Report any accidents, injuries, or safety hazards to management immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and best practices.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic logistics setting.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
