Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Verify that outgoing orders match order confirmations and manifests.
- Package shipments securely and appropriately for transit.
- Schedule and coordinate with transportation carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments.
- Communicate with internal departments and external carriers regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and general office applications.
- Strong understanding of shipping processes, logistics, and documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Commitment to workplace safety and consistent use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
