Join our vibrant team as an Order Picker in Columbus, Ohio! This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders. This involves using a scanner to identify products and locations, ensuring correct quantities are picked, and preparing them for the packing and shipping stages. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment, and all associates are required to follow strict safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position demands a high level of attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. You'll be navigating the warehouse, so familiarity with warehouse layouts and efficient movement is beneficial. While previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous, we provide thorough training for motivated individuals. Your role is critical in the supply chain, directly impacting customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our logistics. We value teamwork, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with manual tasks, including frequent lifting and bending. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets.
- Use handheld scanners to track inventory and order progress.
- Verify product information and quantities.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of frequent lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Familiarity with warehouse environments and basic logistics concepts.
