Job Summary:
Join our innovative team as a Warehouse Technician in Washington, D.C. This role is critical for maintaining the operational efficiency and integrity of our warehouse facilities. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, ensuring all machinery operates at peak performance. This includes conducting routine inspections, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting any mechanical issues. You will also play a key role in general warehouse operations, such as managing inventory, assisting with shipments, and ensuring a safe and organized environment. A strong understanding of mechanical principles and a commitment to Safety are paramount. You will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times when working with machinery or in designated areas. This position involves moderate to heavy Lifting and requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting. Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, as needed.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels and organizing stock.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Properly use and maintain required PPE.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations.
  • Ability to handle tasks involving significant Lifting and manual dexterity.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in equipment maintenance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong commitment to Safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Experience with warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
