About
Our Boston, Massachusetts facility is looking for a diligent and organized Receiving Clerk to manage inbound shipments. In this vital logistics role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring their accurate recording and proper placement within the warehouse. Your duties will include unloading trucks, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately entering data into our inventory management system. Strong attention to detail is paramount to prevent discrepancies and maintain inventory integrity. You will be responsible for organizing and staging received goods for put-away and ensuring that all documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time. This position requires physical stamina, as it involves standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift. We emphasize a commitment to safety, and all team members are required to follow established procedures and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our supply chain and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will work collaboratively with other warehouse staff, including pickers and packers, to ensure seamless workflow. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred. - Unload incoming freight from trucks.
- Verify packing slips against received items and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any issues.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
