Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Distribution Center Associate for our busy facility in Chicago, Illinois. This role is fundamental to our supply chain and logistics network, involving a wide range of tasks to ensure the efficient flow of goods. You will be involved in receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. A commitment to safety, efficiency, and teamwork is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders.
  • Sort, organize, and stock inventory accurately in assigned locations.
  • Pick customer orders using RF scanners or other designated equipment.
  • Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
  • Load outgoing shipments onto trucks.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and proficiently.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and participate in cycle counting.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to company standards.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and consistently use required PPE.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the distribution center.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or logistics role is a strong asset.
  • Ability to perform manual labor, including frequent lifting of up to 70 lbs.
  • Experience operating various types of material handling equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Understanding and practice of workplace safety procedures.
  • Willingness to wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety guidelines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
