We are hiring a dedicated Warehouse Associate for our facility in Washington, D.C. This position is critical to our logistics and distribution network, involving a broad range of warehouse duties. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of inventory, from receiving goods to preparing them for shipment. Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organization protocols.
- Inspect products for damage or defects.
- Pick and pack orders for warehouse customers or for shipment.
- Prepare and stage outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (with proper certification).
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines, regulations, and ensure the proper use of PPE.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and practices.
