About
We are hiring a Picker/Packer in Kansas City, Missouri, to join our dedicated warehouse team. This role is essential for ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled and prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for locating items in the warehouse, picking them, and then carefully packing them for transit. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality are paramount. This position requires physical activity and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment. We are looking for individuals who are reliable and eager to contribute to our operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order requirements.
- Inspect items for defects or damage before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently using appropriate materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Operate RF scanners to track inventory movement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and utilize required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to read and understand picking lists and product information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both picking and packing.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to perform Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
