Join our team as an Order Picker in Grand Rapids, Michigan! We are looking for energetic individuals to accurately and efficiently pick customer orders from warehouse shelves. This role is integral to our daily logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their products on time and in perfect condition. Responsibilities include using order sheets or scanners to locate items, carefully selecting products, and preparing them for packing and shipment. Safety is our top priority, so you must be diligent in following all safety guidelines and wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant walking and standing, and the ability to perform manual lifting of up to 50 pounds is essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using an RF scanner or pick list.
- Locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves and storage locations.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure accuracy.
- Package picked items securely for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized picking area.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged items to your supervisor.
- Meet established picking quotas and performance standards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and scanner instructions.
- Proficiency in basic math for order verification.
- Physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, and reaching.
- Ability to perform manual lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with logistics processes is beneficial.
