About
Our San Antonio, Texas facility is looking for skilled Forklift Operators to join our vital logistics team. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials within our warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of goods, ensuring that inventory is stored correctly and that shipments are processed promptly. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, possesses excellent maneuvering skills, and is committed to maintaining a productive and organized work environment. Your expertise ensures the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move pallets, materials, and finished goods.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of cargo.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or damage immediately.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as order picking or stocking.
- Adhere to all company Safety regulations and warehouse procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Proven knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of load mechanics and safe lifting techniques.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules.
