About
We are seeking a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our logistics team in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will be instrumental in the efficient processing of customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking items from inventory and preparing them for shipment by packing them securely and labeling them correctly. This position requires a keen eye for detail, physical dexterity, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. You'll work in a fast-paced warehouse setting, contributing directly to customer satisfaction through accurate and timely order fulfillment. We are looking for reliable individuals who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations based on order requirements.
- Inspect picked items for quality and accuracy.
- Pack items securely into appropriate shipping containers.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization.
- Meet productivity targets for picking and packing.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product information.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Capable of regular lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and use necessary PPE.
- Previous picking and packing experience is beneficial.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
