Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, load, unload, and stack pallets and merchandise.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working order.
- Adhere to all **Safety** protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of **PPE**.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring clear pathways for **Logistics** operations.
- Assist with inventory counts and ensure accurate record-keeping of material movements.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions.
- Follow specific **Lifting** and handling instructions for various types of products.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse staff and supervisors.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the distribution center.
- Operate other warehouse equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of **Safety** procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with **Logistics** and material handling principles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **Lifting** up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
