Join our growing team as a Material Handler in Atlanta, Georgia! We are looking for a reliable and physically capable individual to manage the movement of materials within our warehouse. The Material Handler plays a key role in ensuring that inventory is organized, accessible, and safely transported. This position is essential for the efficient operation of our logistics and supply chain processes. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and staging materials for production or shipment, ensuring that all tasks are performed with a focus on safety and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Receive, identify, and verify materials, checking for damages or discrepancies.
- Pick and stage materials for production orders or outgoing shipments.
- Organize and maintain inventory in a clean and orderly manner.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following all company safety regulations.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Contribute to a safe and productive work environment by following best practices in material handling and logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely is highly desirable.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks, including Lifting up to 60 pounds frequently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes in a dynamic logistics setting.
