About
We are hiring a Shipping & Receiving Associate for our Indianapolis, Indiana facility. This role is fundamental to our supply chain and Logistics operations, involving the efficient processing of inbound and outbound goods. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, ensuring the smooth flow of inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and report discrepancies.
- Inspect goods for damage and ensure quality standards are met.
- Put away received inventory in designated locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Generate shipping documents and maintain accurate records.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Perform tasks involving Lifting of materials, following proper lifting techniques.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and scanning equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Logistics and supply chain principles.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety and operational efficiency.
