Senior Mechanical Engineer

Our client, a leading design consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Galway. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead major projects and design sustainable, cutting‑edge mechanical systems across commercial, residential, and healthcare sectors.

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical design for large-scale projects, from initial concept through to final delivery, ensuring quality and compliance, developing designs that meet top industry standards and regulatory requirements, while delivering on time and within budget.

You will work closely with interdisciplinary engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver integrated, efficient solutions.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years in mechanical system design for commercial, residential, or healthcare projects.
• Technical skills: expertise in designing mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and energy‑efficient solutions; proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Chartered Engineer status or active progress toward chartership is highly valued.
• Proven project management skills with experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
