Project Manager, Real Estate Development

Trellis is a mission-driven nonprofit housing organization dedicated to expanding access to safe, affordable housing. We are seeking a Project Manager to support our real estate development team by managing assigned housing projects through construction and close-out.
This role operates at the project level , supporting the Director of Real Estate Development, who leads program strategy, portfolio planning, and funding. The Project Manager focuses on execution, coordination, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day coordination of assigned development projects
- Track schedules, budgets, and construction progress
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and inspectors
- Conduct site visits and support inspections and close-out
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
- Escalate risks or deviations to the Director as appropriate
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of residential construction, rehab, or housing project experience
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with permitting and inspection processes
- Affordable housing or publicly funded project experience a plus
