Project Manager, Real Estate Development

Employment Type: Full-time, exempt

Trellis is a mission-driven nonprofit housing organization dedicated to expanding access to safe, affordable housing. We are seeking a Project Manager to support our real estate development team by managing assigned housing projects through construction and close-out.

This role operates at the project level , supporting the Director of Real Estate Development, who leads program strategy, portfolio planning, and funding. The Project Manager focuses on execution, coordination, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day coordination of assigned development projects
  • Track schedules, budgets, and construction progress
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and inspectors
  • Conduct site visits and support inspections and close-out
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
  • Escalate risks or deviations to the Director as appropriate

Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of residential construction, rehab, or housing project experience
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with permitting and inspection processes
  • Affordable housing or publicly funded project experience a plus
