About
We are seeking a *Technical Program Managers* to lead commissioning delivery across *hyperscale data centre and critical power generation programmes*.
This is a *senior technical leadership role*, suited to individuals with a strong background in *power generation or oil & gas construction and commissioning*, who have subsequently developed *significant data centre commissioning experience*.
The role carries full responsibility for *technical programme ownership*, commissioning governance, schedule integration, and stakeholder leadership from early construction through to operational handover.
*Key Responsibilities Technical Programme & Commissioning Leadership*
* Own and lead *end‑to‑end commissioning programmes* for critical power infrastructure, including:
* Standby power generation (LV/MV)
* UPS systems
* MV/LV switchgear and protection systems
* Utility / grid interfaces
* EPMS, BAS and SCADA systems
* Define and manage *commissioning strategies, plans, milestones, and readiness gates*
* Review, challenge, and approve:
* OEM and contractor commissioning methodologies
* Level 1 - 5 commissioning scripts
* Integrated Systems Testing (IST) procedures
* Act as *technical authority* during execution, driving:
* Non‑conformance resolution
* Risk management and mitigation
* Technical issue closure across multiple stakeholders
*Programme Controls, Scheduling & Digital Tools*
* Develop and manage integrated commissioning programmes using *Microsoft Project*
* Operate fluently across *Microsoft 365* (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for:
* Programme reporting
* Technical governance
* Client and stakeholder communication
* Be fully proficient with *Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360*, including:
* Model coordination
* Issue and clash tracking
* Commissioning data, workflows, and document control
* Interface with BIM, design, and construction teams to ensure commissioning requirements are embedded into the delivery programme from early stages
*Workshops, Governance & Stakeholder Leadership*
* Plan, chair, and lead:
* *Daily commissioning coordination meetings*
* *Weekly programme and commissioning integration workshops*
* *Monthly senior technical and programme reviews*
* Run structured workshops covering:
* Commissioning readiness and sequencing
* Quality assurance and compliance
* Construction vs commissioning interface management
* Programme, schedule, and critical path alignment
* Technical and programme risk identification and mitigation
* Act as senior interface across:
* Client technical and operations teams
* EPCs / General Contractors
* OEMs and specialist vendors
* Engineers of Record (EoR)
*Required Experience*
* *Minimum 5 years’ experience at senior level*, focused on critical facilities and/or power generation/transmission infrastructure
* *Prior experience in Data centres, power generation or oil & gas commissioning is mandatory*
* Power plants, industrial generation, or high‑risk regulated environments
* Proven track record leading *complex, mission‑critical programmes*
* Strong technical understanding of:
* Generator paralleling, load testing, and black‑start scenarios
* Protection and control systems
* Utility / grid compliance requirements
* Experience delivering programmes in *live operational environments* is highly desirable
*Qualifications*
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline
* Formal commissioning or programme management training advantageous
* Strong understanding of commissioning QA/QC frameworks and safety management systems

* Comfortable operating in complex, high‑pressure delivery environments
