My client is seeking qualified candidates for the position of HSQE Manager to lead and support a team across the delivery of projects throughout Ireland. The role will be supported by the HSQE Director.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:



  • Lead the HSQE team and support project delivery teams in executing projects and continually improving Business Management Systems.
  • Provide professional support and advice to site management teams and staff on all HSQE matters, including legislative and contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate all required HSQE documentation from project start-up through to completion.
  • Work with project delivery teams and other stakeholders to identify significant risks and develop documented measures to control and reduce those risks to acceptable levels.
  • Assist site management teams in reviewing relevant documentation (both direct and subcontractor) prior to site commencement and throughout project progression.
  • Review and coordinate consultation sessions.
  • Conduct site inspections with site teams, identify opportunities to improve performance, and assist with implementing improvements.
  • Coordinate learning reviews, produce reports, and implement relevant recommendations.
  • Collaborate with client representatives, stakeholders, and external bodies (e.g., regulatory agencies) and contribute to client and external site inspections and audits.
  • Lead monthly review sessions with the client to assess progress and identify areas for continual improvement.
  • Produce and submit periodic HSQE reports to relevant stakeholders.

About You

  • Experience in a similar HSQE management role within civil construction.
  • Third-level qualification in Health and Safety.
  • Knowledge of relevant HSQE standards and management systems.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with a high standard of written English.
  • Full, clean EU/Irish driving licence.
  • Authorisation to work in Ireland (e.g., Stamp 4 or Critical Skills Permit).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Chartered Membership of IOSH or equivalent professional institute.
  • Health & Safety training in relevant industry sectors. xcfaprz
