Job Description
Job Title: Senior Test Manager
Location: Dublin 2 – Onsite / Hybrid Contract / Permanent: 24 Months with further extension. Start date: Wednesday, 27 May 2026
Client & Nature of Services – Brief Overview

The Client’s IM&T Division is now seeking a Senior Test Manager to oversee and manage the Test Analyst team. The Testing function is an integral component in the delivery of all CTI systems and applications (both public facing and internal) for the Department & its Agencies and is required to:



  • Set and maintain high quality standards of systems and applications deployed to an enterprise environment.
  • Meet Stakeholder demands and expectations most fully.
  • Drive efficiencies by detecting and fixing issues and flaws early in development.

Mandatory Requirements (Pass / Fail)
Experience (MANDATORY)

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a Senior Test role
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing test teams and test projects within the last 5 years

Availability (MANDATORY)

  • Must be available to start on Wednesday, 27 May 2026

Qualifications (MANDATORY)

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Computing or a related discipline
  • Qualifications must meet NFQ equivalency standards (Ireland or equivalent overseas)

English Language Proficiency (MANDATORY)

  • CEFR C2 Proficiency/Mastery (or equivalent)
  • If no certificate, fluency will be assessed at presentation stage

The following non-exhaustive list of Key Deliverables are applicable to this Role.


Key Deliverables

  • Responsible for the delivery of the test process within the department and the management and resolution of defects identified during the test process.
  • Responsible for the ongoing management of quality assurance processes to reduce development defects and maintain quality standards.
  • Advises on the application of appropriate quality and/or environmental management techniques, specifying requirements for environment, data, resources and tools.
  • Provides reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with the Department’s overall Test effort.

The following Experience/Competencies/Skillsets are applicable to this Role.


Test Project Management Experience

  • Two in-depth examples of the management of test projects covering the following:
  • Management of quality assurance processes to reduce development defects and maintain quality standards.
  • Ensuring the application of appropriate quality management techniques and project plans.
  • Managing test team resources to ensure a consistent approach.
  • Scheduling test activity within and across projects, managing resources as necessary.

Expertise and Implementation

  • Provision of expert advice on and implementation of best practice methods and technologies for the test life cycle, advising on requirements for environments, data, resources and tools. xcfaprz

Analytical Reporting

  • Recording and analysing actions and results
  • Maintaining a defect register to report on system quality using test metrics collected
  • Providing reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with individual projects and across multiple projects.
