ABOUT THE ROLE The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing tactics to grow the size (as measured in newsletter subscribers / registered users), activity level (engagements), and longevity (lifetime value) of our online communities using LinkedIn, email, and other channels.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Execute omnichannel marketing tactics to:
Connect with our target audience. Nurture our relationship with the target audience by sharing our most compelling and valuable content (articles, digital events, videos, podcasts, etc.) with them. Convert the target audience to newsletter subscribers / registered community members.
Work with internal market teams to identify important audience personas/segments and understand their challenges, pain points, and information needs. Engage with the target audience on LinkedIn via company/showcase pages/posts, paid ads, employee connections/posts, events, newsletters, group participation, influencer partnerships, etc. Write persuasive copy (for social pages/posts, ads, emails, push notifications, etc.) that captures our target audience’s attention and persuades them act (subscribe, register for event, generate engagements, etc.). Collaborate with the creative team to create eye-catching graphics, videos, emails, etc. to support campaigns. Design and build landing and registration pages that convert a high percentage of visitors into subscribers / registered community members. Manage the promotional calendar and day-to-day campaign execution (e.g., posting content, running ads, etc.) across all marketing channels. Continually monitor, test, and measure campaign effectiveness for ongoing improvement. Track KPIs and generate reports for market groups. REQUIRED EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
1-3 years of work experience in digital marketing (including social media), copywriting, audience development, or digital publishing Excellent copywriting skills and the ability to translate complex topics into simple, digestible, and engaging messaging Strong analytical skills with experience using analytics tools (Google Analytics, LinkedIn analytics, etc.) to measure and improve results High attention to detail and highly organized Collaborative team player with great interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
B2B marketing experience (ideally in the life sciences or other technical sector) Omnichannel experience in demand and lead generation (across email, social, push, SMS, etc.) Life Science Connect offers a generous compensation package.
