Job Summary
The Data and Cloud Solutions Architect will play a key role in designing, evolving, and optimizing cloud-based data architecture for the organization.
This role requires strong experience in data engineering, cloud data solution development, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts through clear documentation and architecture diagrams.
The architect will drive cloud data strategy, lead implementation efforts, and ensure scalable, secure, and optimized data systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement secure, scalable cloud-based data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes. Drive the selection, adoption, and integration of cloud data services, including storage, databases, and analytics tools. Develop comprehensive cloud data strategies aligned with business objectives. Create clear data flow diagrams, ER diagrams, system architecture diagrams, and other visual materials to support implementation. Maintain detailed documentation of architecture, design decisions, and data processes. Contribute hands-on to the implementation of cloud data solutions. Identify and execute performance optimization strategies for cloud data systems. Troubleshoot issues related to data pipelines, data quality, and data accessibility. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related engineering discipline. Minimum 5 years of hands-on data engineering experience using distributed computing technologies (e.g., Spark, MapReduce, Databricks). Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions in Azure. Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques. Proficiency with relational and non-relational database systems. Strong diagramming skills using Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools. Preferred Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of cloud data services (e.g., Databricks, Azure Data Lake). Expertise with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark). Strong understanding of data security and governance principles. Experience with scripting languages such as Python and SQL. Additional Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex data challenges. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and demonstrate leadership potential.
