Hardware Associate
We are looking for a Hardware Associate for a growing team at an installation, manufacturing and distribution company in Sanford, Florida. We provide building materials for the residential building market statewide with locations in Jacksonville, Sanford, Melbourne, Winter Haven, Tampa and Fort Myers. We are the largest independent turnkey supplier for lumber, truss, doors, and windows for general contractors, multifamily and single-family builders. Job Purpose The Hardware Associate will package and sort locks and accessories accurately to fulfill orders per production schedule. This role ensures that all hardware partssuch as hinges, locks, handles, closers, and fastenersare accurately picked, assembled, and delivered to the production team or customer orders in a timely manner. Duties and Responsibilities Fulfill orders and complete all necessary paperwork including maintaining accurate logs of past jobs. Ensure hardware is matched correctly with specific door models and customer requirements. Maintain accurate inventory of hardware items including hinges, locksets, handles, and other accessories. Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and order sheets. Label, organize, and stage completed hardware kits for the production line or shipping department. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming hardware shipments. Work closely with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to ensure timely order completion. Cycle count and inventory control. Review orders for accuracy and make changes when advised or necessary. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested. Qualifications Receiving experience. Previous forklift experience preferred. Hardware and lock knowledge preferred including knowledge of Schlage and Kwikset pin and tumbler locks. Detail oriented, organized. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet strict deadlines. Working Conditions Job requires some extended hours, as needed, to accomplish job requirements. Job requires working in manufacturing/warehouse environment which includes high temperatures and humidity. Job requires working in and around machinery/powered equipment and associated safety risks. Physical Requirements Job requires lifting and sitting for long periods of time within a warehouse environment.
