This solution, built on the Azure Platform and deployed with our SMART AIM best-practice DevOps library, addresses data issues facing music rights organisations. The high-performance engine supports organisations to address metadata errors and ensure music royalties are tracked with accuracy and transparency.

This is an opportunity to lead the Data Analytics & AI practice, which sits within the Digital Transformation pillar of the business. In this exciting and challenging role you will work with the COO to shape the direction and strategy of the team and will be responsible for the successful delivery of the customer projects in this area. As well as managing a team of engineers, you will have opportunity to use your own development skills to lead by example in execution.

This is a cornerstone practice of Spanish Point that is at an exciting inflection point with recent advancements in AI model sophistication and the advent of wide-spread AI adoption. Key to our ability to deliver actual real-world AI solutions beyond PoCs is being selected by Microsoft as one of only three partners in the UK & Ireland to be enrolled in their new AI Transformation Offer. The awarding of this unique designation comes on the back of our strong international customer base that are using Azure AI solutions at scale in Production, as well as our recognition as AI Innovation Partner of the Year. With our partner Microsoft continuing to have a key focus on AI, this offer and its associated funding will generate multiple AI projects in the region in the coming years.

Key technologies leveraged in our data solution builds include Azure SQL Server, Azure Databricks, .NET Core/C# and Power BI/MS Fabric. AI implementations typically focus on the Azure stack including AI Foundry with Open AI, AI Search and Azure Machine Learning, as well as Copilot Studio for low-code implementations.

This role will challenge your existing skills in team-management, architecture and development, and provide opportunities to expand your expertise in various Microsoft technologies.

• Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years in managing a team of engineers and in project management, preferably in Agile/SCRUM working practices.
• Education: A degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
• Skills: Proficiency in Python, .NET/C#, SQL .
• Knowledge of database design principals for OLTP and OLAP databases
• Communication: Strong communication and organisational skills.

The following skills and experiences are considered strong advantageous:

• Knowledge of Machine Learning and AI methodologies, and experience in deploying these in Azure.
• Experience in Power BI/DAX or Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience in Azure DevOps and development lifecycle best practices.
• Experience in advanced data manipulation semi-structured/unstructured, as well as structured data.

The following skills and experiences are also advantageous

• Experience in NoSQL databases e.g. Azure Cosmos DB , MySQL.
• Experience in web development.
• Experience in other Azure services e.g. Azure SQL, Key Vault, Functions etc.
