AWS DevOps Engineer - Networking (Contract)

We are seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer with strong networking experience for a customer-facing consulting role.

Our mission is to help organisations scale the use of AWS Cloud and leverage good AWS practices to achieve business objectives and effectively respond to change.

• Support the design and implementation of private, secure network connectivity on AWS and integration with other networks
  
• Work with customer infrastructure and network teams to deliver connectivity solutions that are robust, secure and compliant
  
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders at engineering, operations and management level
  
• Contribute to documentation, architecture decisions and operational runbooks
  
• You have a strong AWS networking background including VPC design, Transit Gateway, Route 53, PrivateLink, security groups, NACLs, WAF
  
• Solid understanding of IP addressing, CIDR planning and network segmentation
  
• Hands‑on experience with DNS management including private hosted zones and split‑horizon DNS
  
• Familiarity with TLS/certificate management, including mutual TLS (mTLS) concepts
  
• Awareness of and experience with cloud security proxies and zero‑trust access models (e.g. Zscaler ZPA/ZIA, Cloudflare Access or similar) — you don't need to be a specialist, but you need to understand how they interact with network routing
  
• Experience with AWS infrastructure as code using terraform
  
• Comfortable working across hybrid environments and AWS
  
• A good understanding of Financial Services, governance, DevOps practices, CI/CD and operational tooling
  
• You hold current associate or ideally professional AWS certifications
  
• You have a Cloud Engineer mindset and you are comfortable challenging the status quo
  
• You have experience being customer-facing
  
• You have a positive and friendly mindset and attitude
  
• You are a team player that proactively shares knowledge and provides feedback
  
• You are fluent in both spoken and written English
  
• You enjoy exploring new services and technologies
  

The role is ordinarily 5 days per week but we are open to candidates that can commit a minimum of 4 days per week.

The role is on a contract basis, initially for 3 months with scope for renewal.

The role is 100% remote. You must hold a European Union passport and reside within the EU. Your limited company must be incorporated within the European Union. xcfaprz

Euro 450,- to 550,- per day (or GBP equivalent) depending on experience.
