Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the component design (FMEA), analysis (CAE), vehicle packaging (NX), model/drawing integrity (Teamcenter), Product Assurance Plan (PAP), component validation (DVP&R), change management (CN), engineering bill of material (EBOM/CODEP), build support, issue management (GIMS), fastened joint design, and assembly torque development. The Engineer will be required to work with multiple support groups (NVH, Vehicle Integration, Stress Lab, Safety, and Durability) to complete all validation and testing.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a product release environment Intermediate level of design/development engineering experience in frames or chassis structural components Self-starter with strong leadership, communication skills, and demonstrated problem-solving ability Knowledgeable in regard to high strength steels, weld parameters, and GD&T Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of frame or structural chassis component engineering Minimum of 3 years of experience in UG NX and Teamcenter DFSS Green or Black Belt Strong written and oral communication skills
