A highly regarded law Firm with a leading team of lawyers are currently seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to join their Finance team. Flexible hybrid working with the opportunity to be based in Dublin or from their regional office.

About the Position

As the Financial Controller for a leading legal practice, you will play a pivotal role in managing and the financial processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Reporting directly to the Managing Partner you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the firm.


Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly financial statements, budget variance analysis, and cash flow projections.


Analyse financial data and provide insights to key stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.


Develop and implement financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability.


Budgeting and Forecasting

Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads and senior management.


Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to ensure alignment with strategic goals.


Conduct periodic forecasting to anticipate financial trends and potential risks.


Financial Compliance and Control

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, including tax laws, accounting standards, and industry regulations.


Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.


Financial Operations

Supervise the accounting team in day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and collections.


Review financial transactions for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper recording and classification.


Streamline financial processes and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.


Experience/Requirements

Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a comparable role, is essential.


Experience within a legal setting is an advantage. xcfaprz


Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively.


Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to procedures
