POSITION DESCRIPTION:

A welcoming seniors' residence is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join its team.
This is a full-time, permanent position, 40 hours per week on a 10/15 shift schedule, with evenings from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and one weekend out of two.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
• Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
• Create and maintain metuculous notes in the residents Dossier in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ)
• Ensure good communication as well as medical follow-ups with the vested parties
• Respond to all emergency situations
• Upon request by the residents doctor or pharmacist, update the residents medical dossiers and prescriptions

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing
• PDSB training
• Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
• Member of the OIIAQ
• Knowledge of senior living residences, a major asset
• Minimum experience of 2 to 3 years in a similar position.
