Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant Butlin's Buffets Department in Skegness!
In this exciting role, you’ll report directly to the Kitchen Manager and play a vital part in running our bustling kitchen. You’ll lead a talented team of chefs, stepping up in the Kitchen Manager's absence and ensuring that every dish served is a masterpiece.
Your passion for delivering exceptional experiences will shine as you monitor and enhance our service quality. With your strong leadership skills, you’ll conduct daily briefings, manage stock control, and ensure our food presentation is nothing short of spectacular.
Financial performance is key, and you’ll be responsible for achieving food cost budgets through effective menu planning and adherence to cooking standards. You’ll also uphold food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
As a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, you’ll inspire your team through training schedules and performance development plans, creating memorable experiences for our guests every time. Join us in our main buffet restaurant, where you’ll lead a team dedicated to serving our half-board dining package guests.
Key ResponsibilitiesWe’re looking for individuals with experience in a similar role, especially in high-volume environments. Our buffet department can serve up to 3,000 guests per service , so being able to thrive in a fast-paced setting is essential!
- Demonstrate hard work and determination, consistently seeking better ways for the team to meet our brand standards.
- Bring energy and enthusiasm to the kitchen, building strong relationships with team members and leaders.
- Lead your team confidently, ensuring high standards in a busy kitchen environment.
- Manage margins, control costs, and uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards.
You must have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be ready to unleash the potential of your team while ensuring our guests have a fantastic experience every time!
This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, totaling 40 hours, including evenings and weekends. Please note that this position does not come with onsite accommodation.
