About the Role

Are you an experienced Chef ready to take your culinary skills to the next level? Join our vibrant Buffets team at Butlin’s Skegness! We’re seeking passionate individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen and take pride in delivering consistent, high-quality food.

As a key player in our buffet restaurants, you’ll lead and develop a dynamic team that brings unforgettable dining experiences to life. Collaborating closely with the Junior Kitchen Manager, you’ll oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, exceptional standards, and full compliance with food safety policies.

Your role will involve:

• Maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
• Setting the standard for Commis Chefs through support, training, and mentorship.
• Ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and safely.

This is a full-time, permanent position, offering 35 hours per week across 5 days, including weekends. Shifts are paid fortnightly, with breakfast shifts from 4am–12pm and dinner shifts from 11am–7:30pm. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of our business.

For those over 18 relocating to the area, live-in accommodation may be available (subject to DBS).

We’re on the lookout for chefs with proven experience in a busy, high-volume kitchen. This role is not suitable for beginners or those without professional kitchen experience.

You should be:

• Committed to high standards with a desire for continuous improvement.
• Energetic and enthusiastic about creating great food and teamwork.

Holding a Level 3 Food Safety qualification is essential, along with the confidence to lead others in a fast-paced environment. You’ll also manage margins, control costs, and maintain excellent hygiene, health, and safety practices.
