My client is looking for an Ab Initio Technical Lead to join a growing team for a 12‑Month contract in Dublin. Responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise‑scale ETL solutions using Ab Initio. This role provides hands‑on technical leadership, ensures architectural alignment, drives performance improvements, and supports high‑quality, scalable data solutions across critical programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end Ab Initio solution design and ETL architecture.
- Develop and optimize graphs, plans, PDL components, and parallel processing frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership, enforce standards, and mentor developers.
- Diagnose and resolve performance, scalability, and platform issues.
- Collaborate with business, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust solutions.
- Support environment setup, releases, SIT/UAT, and production deployments.
- Implement data quality, validation, and governance controls.
- Produce technical documentation and reusable solution patterns.
- Drive continuous improvement and platform enhancements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong Ab Initio expertise (Co>Op, GDE, EME, Conduct>IT, Control Center, Continuous Flows).
- ETL development (graph design, PDL, plans, metadata‑driven frameworks).
- SQL (Oracle/DB2/Teradata) and Unix/Linux scripting.
- High‑volume, distributed ETL architecture and performance tuning.
- Version control, EME branching, and deployment processes.
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
- Tools: Autosys/Control‑M, Git, JIRA, Confluence.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills.
Desirable
- Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, HDFS, Spark).
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Data warehousing and dimensional modelling.
- API/event‑driven integrations.
- DevOps/CI‑CD for ETL pipelines.
