Your New Role

As an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering detailed electrical building services designs from concept through to construction stage. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and project leaders while taking ownership of packages of work and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.


You’ll gain exposure to client meetings, design workshops and site inspections, helping to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest technical standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical design for lighting, small power, containment, fire alarm, security and data systems
  • Involvement in power distribution design including LV systems and coordination with utility providers
  • Preparation of technical reports, specifications and drawings
  • Attending design team meetings and liaising with architects, structural engineers and contractors
  • Conducting site inspections and responding to technical queries during construction
  • Ensuring designs comply with Irish regulations and relevant standards
  • Supporting senior engineers and assisting with project coordination

What You’ll Need

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • 3–6 years’ experience in electrical building services xcfaprz design
  • Experience working within a consultancy environment
  • Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and electrical standards
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and Revit (BIM experience beneficial)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • Ambition to progress toward Chartered Engineer status
