Position Summary As an Operations Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in extracting operations data for in-depth analysis, providing support to leadership, and handling timely data requests. You will maintain up-to-date operational tools and databases, ensuring seamless access to data from various PG&E systems. Your key responsibilities will include: Project Management:
Oversee data management projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timeliness and budget adherence. Data Processing:
Create and manage automated data processes that ensure accurate reporting and data manipulation. Data Extracts and Transfers:
Handle data extraction and transfers to facilitate operational analysis. Data Analysis:
Utilize statistical tools to produce comprehensive reports, trends, and profiles. Reporting:
Develop and present clear, actionable data analyses tailored to client needs. This hybrid position allows you to work from your remote office and your assigned location based on business needs within the PG&E Service Territory. Compensation:
PG&E is committed to informing candidates of estimated salary ranges. The actual salary will depend on various factors like skills, education, experience, and location. The estimated salary range is as follows: Bay Minimum:
$126,000 Bay Maximum:
$200,000 CA Minimum:
$120,000 CA Maximum:
$190,000 This position is also eligible for PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs. Job Responsibilities Lead complex data analysis projects with minimal supervision to ensure timely and budgeted completion. Design data analysis strategies to meet business objectives, process and analyze data, and communicate findings effectively. Manage complex data extraction and validation processes to ensure accuracy. Utilize advanced statistical tools to create in-depth reports and identify trends and insights. Foster innovation by proposing new solutions and enhancing data processes. Prepare detailed reports that present actionable analyses to clients. Provide mentorship to less experienced team members. Collaborate with management across functions to influence strategic decisions. Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 6 years of job-related experience. Desired: Master's Degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with utility operations. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel/Access (complex formulas, graphing, VBA). Expertise in SQL (Oracle or Business Objects). Experience with Python and libraries such as Pandas and Statsmodels. Strong knowledge of base-SAS and programming languages like Visual Basic, Perl, and C. Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities. Exceptional problem-solving and influencing skills. Advanced project management skills for leading cross-functional teams.
