Job Overview We are looking for a skilled Software Engineering Manager to lead our teams dedicated to core data processing services. In this role, you will oversee the transformation of massive amounts of raw data into structured, searchable information that is vital for our customers in navigating complex legal challenges. Your teams will develop and maintain mission-critical services that prioritize speed, reliability, and accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and operation of the Processing Discover services, emphasizing reliability, scalability, and security. Champion modernization efforts, focusing on migrating to microservices and integrating cloud-native technologies. Establish technical direction, engineering standards, and operational processes to ensure high-quality service delivery. Contribute to the product roadmap to guide team priorities and backlog management effectively. Mentor and develop engineering talent, nurturing an operational mindset and deepening domain expertise. Required Qualifications: Proven experience managing engineering teams for mission-critical, high-throughput, low-latency cloud services. Strong foundation in software engineering principles, including system design, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and microservices. Experience in building scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems within a public cloud environment. Exceptional operational skills with a focus on automation, observability, metrics-driven decision-making, and quick incident response. Adept at learning and leading in complex, domain-specific technical environments. Experience leading teams through Agile methodologies such as Scrum. Preferred Qualifications: History of modernizing legacy architectures into microservices. Experience in managing remote or distributed teams. Familiar with cloud computing, big data, and data engineering technologies (e.g., Temporal, Spark, Azure Data Lake Storage). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Relativity is committed to equitable compensation practices. This position offers a competitive base salary, annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives. The salary range for this role is between $155,000 and $233,000, with final offers determined by factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. Hiring at the top end is uncommon to allow for meaningful salary growth.
