Senior Process Engineer

LAPORTE is an engineering group specializing in the design of Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Agro-industrial and Food & Beverage manufacturing facilities. We have 500 employees located in Canada, USA, France, Belgium, Switzerland and England.

We are looking to start our operations in Ireland by recruiting one process engineer to support our global clients having operations in the country.

This position will be based in Dublin, Ireland, at our future downtown office location (to be established). The role will involve up to 50% travel to client sites.

• 
  
• Lead development of conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs, drawings, and specifications (PFDs, P&IDs, mass and heat balances, etc.), for process, process integration and utilities
  
• Projects in the Pharmaceutical and FMCG markets such as:
  
  • 
    
  • Pharma / Biopharma: API, vaccines, biotechnology, cosmetics, sterile products, veterinary products, etc.
    
  • Food & Beverages: Process food, pet food, bakery, dairy, ingredients, beer, spirits, juice, soft drink, etc.
    
  
  
• Develop proposals and project scopes, manage contracts, and clients
  
• Lead technical reviews, challenge assumptions, and ensure design integrity
  
• Supporting commissioning, validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement projects
  
• Guide and mentor junior process engineers and graduates
  
• Work alongside other engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, structural and colleagues in other offices
  

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical engineering
  
• 5+ years of experience in engineering consulting in the Irish Bioindustrial, Food and Beverage or Pharmaceutical manufacturing industries, or other relevant sectors
  
• Demonstrated experience in conceptual design, detailed engineering, construction supervision, start‑up, commissioning and live operational environments
  
• Strong leadership, relationship management, organizational planning and project management skills, in addition to technical knowledge
