Firmware Engineer – FPGA Division – Dublin or Cork

As a Firmware Engineer, you’ll work alongside senior designers and architects to build the firmware at the heart of our FPGAs. This is the code that brings our devices to life—controlling configuration, startup, runtime services, and cutting‑edge security features.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain device firmware
  • Help shape firmware architecture and design
  • Work directly with hardware and verification teams
  • Support silicon bring‑up, debug, and validation
  • Collaborate on advanced security protocols and cryptographic accelerators
  • Use simulation and FPGA emulation for early firmware testing

Requirements / Qualifications

What You Bring



  • Master’s in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 1-2+ years relevant industry experience preferable
  • Strong C programming skills
  • Familiarity with assembly language
  • Curiosity, problem‑solving mindset, and strong communication skills
  • You can demonstrate strong initiative and excel both independently and as part of a team
  • Bonus points if you know Verilog, have used logic simulators, or have hands‑on experience with FPGAs or lab equipment
