Positions: Project Manager 1 (2 positions are open)
Experience: 3-6 yrs
Hours: 40/week, Remote but you must already be located in the Northeast
Start Date: 5/4/26 - 5 year contracted role, this is a W2 position, not corp-to-corp
Pay Rate: $55-65/hr DOE
You must be legally able to work in the US for the next 5 years.

Description
Our client - a clean energy company in NYS - is seeking (2) Project Managers, Level 1 -to support installation projects associated with a large-scale clean energy initiative for P-12 schools , currently encompassing 60+ installation projects and approximately $290M in existing and future commitments . The role may also contribute to the development of additional programs focused on building energy improvements.Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Manage large, complex, long-term construction projects from initiation to completion, including contract development, schedules, and budgets.

  • Communicate regularly with project contacts (e.g., schools, consultants, contractors) to ensure projects are executed successfully.

  • Resolve issues that arise with project stakeholders including schools, contractors, or consultants.

  • Manage contractors and program support agreements.

  • Support development of tracking and reporting for projects.

  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate across program communication platforms.

  • Support development of competitive solicitations such as Program Opportunity Notices (PONs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

  • Coordinate with internal departments to support projects and refine strategies and processes.

  • Perform advanced data analysis to support reporting, program improvement, and new strategy development.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholder groups.

  • Make recommendations for improvements to program strategies and business processes.

  • Participate in evaluation of program effectiveness.

  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of program goals.

Required Skills and Experience
  • 3–6 years of project management experience.

  • Experience managing large, complex, long-term construction projects.

  • Strong project management skills including ability to manage scope, schedule, and budgets.

  • Ability to successfully multi-task, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.

  • Experience developing contracts and managing project agreements.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with external stakeholders.

  • Experience resolving conflicts with customers, contractors, or consultants.

  • Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholder groups.

  • Strong analytical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Energy-related technical knowledge of the P-12 school sector.

  • Ability to review technical documentation, including design documents.

  • Experience using project management tools such as Salesforce, Asana, or similar systems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, mathematics, natural science, environmental science, or a related field.
