Location: Ville Saint-Laurent, Montreal, QC

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced a Bilingual Bussiness Partner (Labour relations) with a strong HR background to lead labour relations activities within a unionized manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for managing collective bargaining agreements, handling grievances, conducting workplace investigations, and serving as a key liaison between management and union representatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer multiple Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs)
  • Lead and support collective bargaining negotiations
  • Handle and resolve grievances , disputes, and arbitration matters
  • Conduct thorough and objective workplace investigations
  • Provide strategic guidance to leadership on labour relations matters
  • Ensure compliance with provincial labour laws and employment standards
  • Partner with Operations and Plant Leadership to support workforce planning and employee relations
  • Support disciplinary processes and progressive discipline management
  • Maintain positive working relationships with union representatives and shop stewards
  • Develop and implement HR policies aligned with union agreements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Relations within a unionized manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Bilingual English and French
  • Strong experience managing CBAs and grievance procedures
  • Proven experience in collective bargaining and labour negotiations
  • Solid understanding of Quebec labour legislation
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations
  • Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
  • Ability to influence and build credibility with senior leadership and union partners

Preferred

  • CHRP / CRIA designation (asset)
  • Experience managing multiple unionized groups
  • Laval, Québec, Canada
