Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced a Bilingual Bussiness Partner (Labour relations) with a strong HR background to lead labour relations activities within a unionized manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for managing collective bargaining agreements, handling grievances, conducting workplace investigations, and serving as a key liaison between management and union representatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer multiple Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs)
- Lead and support collective bargaining negotiations
- Handle and resolve grievances , disputes, and arbitration matters
- Conduct thorough and objective workplace investigations
- Provide strategic guidance to leadership on labour relations matters
- Ensure compliance with provincial labour laws and employment standards
- Partner with Operations and Plant Leadership to support workforce planning and employee relations
- Support disciplinary processes and progressive discipline management
- Maintain positive working relationships with union representatives and shop stewards
- Develop and implement HR policies aligned with union agreements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Relations within a unionized manufacturing or industrial environment
- Bilingual English and French
- Strong experience managing CBAs and grievance procedures
- Proven experience in collective bargaining and labour negotiations
- Solid understanding of Quebec labour legislation
- Experience conducting workplace investigations
- Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
- Ability to influence and build credibility with senior leadership and union partners
Preferred
- CHRP / CRIA designation (asset)
- Experience managing multiple unionized groups
