Main Duties:
As a Front Office Guide, your main duty is to work effectively as part of the Front of House service team to provide efficient and courteous Front Desk service. Primarily responsible for, but not limited to, fulfilling guest service needs and completion of all tasks related to creating the ultimate guest arrival, in-house and departure experience; providing accurate and timely information and services to any guest or visitor inquiry; processing payments according to established hotel procedure; and responding to telephone and in-person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information and guest concerns.
General Duties:
- Manage guest check-ins/check-outs, reservations, folios, and guest concerns with professionalism and care
- Deliver personalized, good-natured service by anticipating guest needs and providing tailored recommendations for hotel amenities, dining, spa, fitness, and local attractions
- Maintain accurate cash handling, credit card processing, and front office accounting in compliance with hotel procedures
- Communicate effectively with Night Audit, Accounting, Housekeeping, etc to ensure seamless operations and guest experiences
- Resolve guest challenges thoughtfully, offering solutions and escalating when appropriate with the guest perspective in mind
- Maintain guest profiles and recorded preferences to support repeat and elevated stays
- Support front office operations through phone coverage, correspondence handling, and interdepartmental coordination
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards with self and team members.

Qualifications & Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - High school diploma or equivalent is required. Degree or diploma in hospitality is a plus.
- Previous related guest service experience dealing directly with the public and acquired general knowledge of basic customer service skills. Experience in a luxury setting is a plus.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations, know standard cash handling procedures and knowledge of computerized cash register systems.
- Ability to learn and work with technology such as computers.
- Fluent in oral and written English and excellent overall communication skills.
- Ability to speak another language or more is a plus.
- Must have vision ability to read written communiques and monochrome computer screen.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods at a time.
