About
Join our energetic team as an Order Picker in Des Moines, Iowa! This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for accurately picking products from warehouse shelves based on pick lists or order forms. This requires speed, accuracy, and a good understanding of our inventory layout. Following the picking process, you will assist with packing items securely for shipment and staging them for the shipping department. Safety is our top priority, and all team members are expected to adhere to strict safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role involves considerable physical activity, including frequent bending, reaching, and lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Verify picked items against order lists for accuracy.
- Assist with packing orders securely and efficiently.
- Stage completed orders for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Operate manual equipment like pallet jacks if necessary.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or orders to supervisors.
- Meet daily picking and packing productivity goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists accurately.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
