About
Join our St. Louis, Missouri team as an Order Picker! We are looking for motivated individuals to accurately and efficiently pick customer orders within our distribution center. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that products reach our customers promptly. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, selecting items based on order lists or scanner data, and preparing them for the packing process. Responsibilities:
- Read order slips or use a handheld scanner to identify items to be picked.
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves and storage areas.
- Ensure accuracy in picking the correct items and quantities.
- Place picked items into appropriate containers or onto carts for transport.
- Repackage items if necessary, ensuring product protection.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain a clean and organized picking path and work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of required PPE.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damaged items immediately.
- Contribute to efficient warehouse operations and logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in fulfilling orders.
- Willingness to wear necessary PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Basic understanding of warehouse layouts and logistics is helpful.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
- Team player with good communication skills.
