Join our dynamic team as a Distribution Center Associate in Portland, Oregon! This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods from our warehouse to our valued customers. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be involved in various aspects of warehouse management, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the successful fulfillment of orders and maintaining inventory accuracy. Your primary focus will be on safe and efficient movement of products throughout the facility. We are committed to a strong culture of Safety , and you will receive comprehensive training on all procedures and protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damage.
- Stock merchandise accurately into designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders with precision and care, ensuring correct items and quantities.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, label packages, and stage them for carrier pickup.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required and provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all warehouse and Safety standards.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure data accuracy.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned by supervision.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to guidelines.
