We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, reconciling inventory levels, and implementing process improvements to minimize errors and losses. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that inventory data is up-to-date and reflects the actual stock on hand. This position is critical to our logistics operations, as accurate inventory is essential for efficient order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory management principles, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency with inventory management software. A commitment to upholding high standards of accuracy and organization is key. Your proactive approach to identifying and resolving inventory issues will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement and monitor inventory control procedures.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate stock placement.
- Track and report on inventory accuracy and shrinkage.
- Ensure proper Safety procedures are followed in all inventory-related activities.
- Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams on inventory levels.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe work environment by using designated PPE and following guidelines.
While not primarily a physically demanding role, there will be occasions requiring some lifting of inventory items. Familiarity with warehouse logistics and a dedication to maintaining order are essential.
