This role is crucial for managing the flow of materials throughout our logistics network, ensuring that inventory is accurately received, stored, and distributed. Your responsibilities will include unloading incoming shipments, verifying contents, moving materials to storage areas, and picking and staging items for outgoing orders. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, and all team members are expected to adhere strictly to safety protocols and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly. The job involves significant physical exertion, including frequent heavy lifting and operating warehouse equipment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
- Verify product counts and accuracy against shipping documents.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage locations.
- Organize inventory within the warehouse for efficient access and retrieval.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for outgoing shipments.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is required.
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 70 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and the use of PPE.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding role and a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
